THE BASKETBALL CHALLENGE
Who Scores More Points Per Game?
How well do you know NBA scorers? In NBA Higher or Lower, every round puts two players head to head. You'll see one player's points-per-game average and guess whether the other player scored more or fewer points per game in the 2025–26 NBA regular season.
Each right answer adds one point to your streak. The player you just guessed becomes the starting point for the next round, so every revealed stat gives you another clue. Keep going until you miss, then play again and try to beat your personal best.
The game includes 100 players, from prolific scorers to valuable role players. Familiar names can surprise you: a star's reputation, a team's popularity, and their actual scoring average don't always tell the same story.

Tips for a Better NBA Streak
A few things to remember before you choose.
Think about scoring roles
Players who take more shots often score more per game, but efficiency and free throws also matter.
Don't confuse totals and averages
A player with fewer games can have a higher PPG than someone with more total points over the season.
Remember the last answer
Every revealed PPG becomes the reference for the next matchup. Use it to make a more informed guess.
THE NUMBERS BEHIND THE GAME
How Are NBA Player Stats Calculated?
PPG (points per game) is a player's total regular-season points divided by their appearances. Field goals and free throws contribute to points; rebounds and assists do not. We use completed 2025–26 regular-season totals, rounded to one decimal place—not career averages, single-game highs, or playoff statistics.
We include players who appeared in at least 20 games and averaged 15 or more minutes per game in 2025–26. That helps keep the comparisons focused on players who saw regular playing time; it is not the NBA's official scoring-leaderboard cutoff. If a player changed teams, we count their points and games from the whole season.
Our player averages come from 2025–26 NBA season statistics and have been checked against regular-season points-per-game records. The examples above use the same season as the game. HigherLowerHub is an independent game and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NBA.

NBA Higher or Lower FAQ
What is NBA Higher or Lower?
It's a free basketball guessing game. Two NBA players appear side by side, and you choose whether the second player averaged more or fewer points per game during the 2025–26 regular season.
What does PPG mean in basketball?
PPG means points per game. It is a player's regular-season total points divided by games played. This game compares averages, not a player's career points or best single game.
Does this game use the current NBA season?
No. These are final 2025–26 regular-season numbers. The game uses the same completed season for every player so the answers stay consistent.
Which players can appear in the game?
You can face 100 players who played at least 20 games and averaged 15 or more minutes per game in the 2025–26 regular season. This selection is for the game, not an official NBA scoring leaderboard.
What if two NBA players have the same PPG?
You won't have to guess a tie. If two players have the same PPG to one decimal place, the game gives you a different matchup.
How are players who changed teams counted?
A player's PPG is based on their combined 2025–26 regular-season totals. If they played for more than one team, their points and games from the whole season count together.
Is NBA Higher or Lower free, and does it save my score?
Yes. You can play for free without creating an account. Your personal-best streak is saved in this browser, separately from your classic Higher or Lower high score.
