SITE GUIDELINES

Terms of Service

These terms describe what you can expect when playing HigherLowerHub, how the games and statistics are provided, and how to use the site responsibly.

Last updated November 6, 2026

HigherLowerHub offers free, browser-based Higher or Lower games. By visiting and using the site, you agree to the terms below. They are intended to be clear about both the fun of the games and the limitations of the information behind them.

1. Using HigherLowerHub

These Terms of Service apply to higherlowerhub.com, including its Classic Higher or Lower, NBA Higher or Lower, Movie Higher or Lower and associated information pages. If you do not agree to these terms, please stop using the site.

The games are made available for general entertainment and educational curiosity. You can play without registering, entering payment details or purchasing anything. There is currently no prize money, cash reward or financial return for reaching a particular score.

We may adjust, add, pause or remove games and features as the site evolves. We try to make them convenient and accessible but cannot promise that every feature will always be available or free from interruptions.

2. How the Games Work

Each game asks you to compare two values and choose Higher or Lower. A correct answer increases your current streak; an incorrect answer ends that run. Your best streak is stored in your browser when local storage is available. It is not an account balance, a transferable reward or an official competition score.

Different editions use different kinds of information. The Classic game uses a relative 1–100 score based on estimates of US Google search interest. The NBA game compares basketball player points per game from the completed 2025–26 regular season. The Movie game compares reported worldwide box office receipts in US dollars, rounded to the nearest million dollars.

Game answers reflect the figures shown in each edition, which may differ from newer statistics or reports. The games aren't a source of live results.

3. Accuracy and Data Limitations

We make an effort to explain each game's metric, source and time period. However, estimated search interest can change, sports statistics can be corrected, and reported movie grosses can be incomplete or revised after re-releases. Third-party data may contain errors or omissions. The game pages identify important limitations and, where practical, provide links to source material.

The figures are presented for comparison and entertainment, not as guaranteed, live or independently audited records. Do not rely on a game answer as your sole source for professional, financial, business, wagering, research or other important decisions. Check current, reliable sources when accuracy is essential.

If you notice a questionable result, please contact us with the game name, the subjects involved and a reliable source we can review. We may investigate, correct or remove an item, but cannot guarantee that a particular requested change will be made.

4. Fair and Acceptable Use

You're welcome to play, share your own results, and link to the games. To keep HigherLowerHub useful for everyone, please do not:

  • Attempt to break into the website, interfere with other visitors, or bypass security measures.
  • Send malicious code, use the site for fraud, impersonate the operator, or misrepresent a game as an official NBA or studio product.
  • Overload the website with automated requests or use automated access that harms the availability or performance of the service.
  • Copy, republish or redistribute protected images, branding or site materials in ways that violate applicable rights or licences.
  • Use the games or any linked material for activities that violate applicable law.

These guidelines do not restrict lawful uses permitted by applicable law, or rights granted under licences that apply to particular third-party material.

5. Site Content, Sources and Trademarks

The HigherLowerHub name, site design, original explanatory text and original game presentation may be protected by intellectual property laws. Material from other sources retains its own applicable terms and rights. For example, Wikidata structured records have their own CC0 status; that status does not automatically extend to movie posters, player photographs, logos or other creative works.

The use of names such as NBA players, film titles, search subjects and data providers is for identification and comparison. HigherLowerHub is independent and is not affiliated with, officially sponsored by, or endorsed by the NBA, movie studios, Google, Wikidata or other named organizations.

If you believe material on the site infringes your copyright, trademark or other rights, send a detailed notice to support@higherlowerhub.com. Include the affected page URL, the material involved, the nature of your concern and a way to contact you. We will review the information provided.

6. Scores, Sharing and Browser Storage

Best streaks are saved using local browser storage when supported. Clearing browser data, using another device or changing browsers may reset your saved score. We do not offer a user account, cloud score backup, or a guarantee that any particular streak can be recovered.

Sharing features may use your device's sharing options or copy a result to the clipboard. Once you choose to publish or send a result on another service, that service's terms and privacy practices apply. You are responsible for what you decide to share and where you share it.

7. External Websites

Some pages link to independent resources, including statistical sources and explanatory records. These links are provided for additional context. We do not control the content, availability or security of external websites. Opening a third-party link is your decision, and you should review that site's own terms and privacy information.

8. Availability and Disclaimers

HigherLowerHub is provided on an “as available” basis for general use. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free scores, permanently unchanged game content or compatibility with every browser and device. We may make reasonable changes to the site to address technical problems, security concerns, errors or rights issues.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not make additional guarantees about the completeness, accuracy or suitability of the games and their underlying statistics for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes any rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Privacy and Communications

Our Privacy Policy explains local game-score storage, optional analytics, website access information, and emails you send to support. If you contact us, please share only the details needed to help us understand your question; do not include passwords, payment details or other sensitive personal information.

Support correspondence is voluntary. We may respond to questions about gameplay, data corrections, accessibility and content rights using the contact details you provide, but we do not promise a specific response time or outcome.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service to reflect changes to the games, data sources or site operation. The updated terms and the date shown at the top of the page will indicate the current version. Continued use after an update indicates your acceptance of the revised terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If a provision of these terms cannot be enforced under applicable law, the remaining provisions may still apply. Your mandatory legal protections remain unaffected.

11. Questions

For questions about these terms, the use of site content or the handling of a reported error, email support@higherlowerhub.com. You can also visit our About page for more on how the games work.
